Caledonian Call

after a long haul, now is my time to speak on the reality.

well this one thing that kept playing in my mind is graduating, and mine is years to come

all of this due the failure derived from my underachieving judgements.

and as for now is my winter break,i took my time off to a delightful trip to Scandinavian capital and Caledonian land.open my eyes and see the world that all these years i've learned through story books.

an enchanting journey which reminds me most of what i really want in life and what have I earned and achieved so far in life.I still see it all fall on the other side of reality.it is blurry.

but then i realized when one plants a seed

the seed grows and take years to turn into a tree

boy oh boy,see how can I make these years shorter

Caffeinated and....another food for thought

just finished another chapter of Bill Bryson's Notes from a small Island which tells pretty much of everything about Britain.Oh how I treasure that piece of land along with its magnificent and distinctive medieval episode that definitely carved a significant trace in vast chapter of human civilization. It's 3:43 in the morning and i am uncannily unable to close my eyes and get some sleep.not to mention my class' at 8.

it's pretty intense then i grabbed another book that just arrived yesterday.and this may deviate most from my other travel collection but still under my radar of interests,it's an inside story of the world renowned economist,Warren Buffet by Alice Schroeder.

its not that i am going to however read it now neither write a brief introduction of it but all I want is just to share the forward notes of this book.it really is a well-put-piece,and has great impact on me personally, hence we at the northern hemisphere are well on winter's doorstep anyway..haha.

and it goes

"It is the winter of Warren's ninth year.Outside in the yard,he and his little sister,Bertie, are playing in the snow.

Warren is catching snowflakes. One at a time at first. Then he is scooping them by handfuls. He starts to pack them into ball.As the snowball begins to roll.He gives it a push ,and picks up more snow.Soon he reaches the edge of the yard. After a moment of hesitation,he heads off, rolling the snow through the neighbourhood. And from there,Warren continues onward, casting his eye on a whole world full of snow."

The Snowball : Warren Buffet and the Business of Life by Alice Schroeder

wow,and i cant wait to start reading it,exploring the mind and thinking of this economics genius and maybe adapt his way of ..thinking.Oh how I wish but now all I need is some sleep.=p

Madrid is hosting MTV EMA 2010..hurmm (^^,)yummy

"and anytime i want,i can order french toast" so said Eva Longoria on her rap featured in MTV EMA teaser.she raps??yeah that surprised me a bit that i nearly swallow my spoon and choked since i was having my breakfast.darn it!!

she who always portrays a home-girl attitude and looks, will be hosting the event.

and this year MTV EMA will be held in Madrid,Spain.

Since me and me friends are going to spend our christmas break in Spain,
this year EMA 2010 caught my attention in a big way compare to the last year's EMA.
ps:sorry guys,I cant help in the travel planning this time around.

Well it's not that like we'r gona make it to the event, since the EMA is tomorrow, and our trip fall comfortably on christmas break.so,let alone the eagerness to meet her in person ( whooops, not meeting her but being in an event with her presence ..yadda yadda)..The crew to set up the stage and all have been put to work for about a month now ,I believe they got it done already and spare today for rehearsing.oh, the effect will surely be astounding.

Im not sure whats the next best thing to be held in Madrid by the time we get there.
but i believe I have to start writing about the places i'v visited this past few years.
a friend of mine asked me to keep a log of the travels but im just too get-carried-away-by-other-nonsense that i couldnt find the time to pen my thoughts and whatnot on my site. The last time been to London, Lindsay lohan 'stranded' few blocks away from where we stayed and im sure there's lots of things going on.though there's nothing big, there's still something,LOL,so let just this be the first post of my travel journal, albeit the madrid's not happening just yet.but the MTV EMA 2010 is.

and as for now, imma catch the MTV EMA 2010 live from Madrid in the comfort of my home.

turn over a new leaf ll

i take back what i said on the previous post that i spent the past 2 years for nothing.
Truth is ...that 2 years was everything i wish would permanently be there, in the fold of the memories of my younger years.my endeavor in Europe ,invading european cities east and west; observing the various cultures ; the walks of life ;the... everything.

just that my journey in completing a degree is affected and i had to go long way,and now things getting a bit off the blurry side.its getting clearer.and all i need is to get back on track and get what i wanted, and today my first day of the new semester :D

peace out

It's New Year again? Yes,time flies

it's Jan 3,2010..had barely good sleep..woke up at around 4:30 after another night of thrash, get a nice warm shower.prepare a cup of tea (Indian Ceylon's Tea which apparently the cheapest u can get in store),throw some garlic bread in the oven along with some processed beef.
so i got 10 minutes before the garlic bread's ready to be served.sitting alone in silence, turned the tv's off, music's off, readin some anonymous blog i could find on the nets(how their writing relate to my life remains somewhat unexplainable)
i couldnt think of anythng good but the timely-cliche- that-become-necessary-new year' resolution..it's the 3rd day of 2010 and there's still no sign of me executing any of my resolution.
so im keeping this log, just so i could see any change in the near future.
Oh, i presume my meal's almost ready, which means i'v to go to the kitchen i shared with 7 other strangers-for -now,ima stop this post here

this is marshall, and i wish everybody another prosperous year ahead

and here's the rest of the image captured by our lenses
(credit to dini for his EOS D50 and my ixus85is )

p/s: pictures uploaded 30 minutes later,
wth the bread went overcooked and nearly rock hard..sob2,so much for my 'tantalizing' breakfast

no tittle

"End of something is a start of something new that is far better and grandeur.up to this point of life i'm proud to say that i'l never regret the life i chose for me,the path i take,i learn as i experience it.and in years to come,it'll bring me somewhere good.to think of the past, convinced me to be even more thankful for that made me the person i am today.my advice to me was put the past away, forget em' and dream about tomorow. For what it worths,im gonna treasure the life before me "

For today and last few days, this song has topped the pirdaus chart, damn it's undeniably great song,i just cant rest assure in comfort of life without listening to this.not only it sounds so sweet and comforting at the beginning, but towards the end,the song develops into sth so meaningful and encouraging.something that gives emotion a new hope,it's sort of feelin u'l get if u have the chance to exprience enya in philharmonic hall when u r down and hopeless.it is invigorating beyond nature can tell. The song went thru complete methamorphosis, must say.i just dont know what it is,but it's when u like something so much,u want to listen to it,u wana be it,u addicted to it,uhh

Eventually ,gotta call this:mine. ^_^'

Music has been part of us since our younger years,of which we'v all goin through, grew into the person we are today. In a discrete way,it helps in term of emotional growth and lots more.It occured to me that it is time for me to play my music instead others' played it for me.sighs.it kinda late but behold,it's never too late ait.

few-week-research on acoustic guitars, nights with less sleep, day with much efforts ,unconditional visit to the local music store, thank goodness, the were all being very kind and handful of suggestions and demos which in turn very helpful.Demos since couldnt just yet try maself which's better, but I can tell which sounds better.Reviews on the net, stacks of magazines and catalogues ( courtesy of ot),these have had help me a lots.

figure 1: Musik Rimmel ,Kempten Music Store

I wanted my guitar just to be enjoyed and playable until my intermediate stage,( to dream of being profesional might be beyond reality, but will work on it).I wanted one with distinctive quality, sounds better, and the least looks nice.Dream on John Mayer's signature Martin OM-28 remains dream as is far to expensive in term of my current financial state, and definitely maybe till the near future.

and I'v gotten maself Walden Guitar, cool I must say,I mailed the artist who plays walden, and the responses seem encouraging.End up getting one online. To my greatest dismay, complication arose, when I got a guitar costs double of what I'v booked: Walden D550CE .But it's all taken care, and just yesterday I eventually gota call it's mine.woot,It's just the beginning of .. (^_^),
My hope:it's gonna turn out just well.

a great gymnastic display

a great gymnastic display I must say.I was cycling after getting my business done in the local bank at town.couldt agree more with my intuition which told me to cycle thru the park.it isnt big as the Hyde Park,in fact it is so small you could cover the wholle in just minutes.but the sense of direction was immensely concentrated to this route.better still, the calmness and welcoming sort of feeling is really one of a kind.
So off I cycled thru, with my best track randomly played on the mp3.right in the middle, there's a small pond and lil' fountain and a young mother with her baby in the chart was stopping by to feed a sweet couple of tame ducks.

I did stop too,and to my suprise, these two ducks performed a staggering gymnastic display.even their movements were never synchronized to the song I was listenin' to,but those alone were great.personally,i'v running out of metaphor to describe their nice acts. But I did capture the moment,so here they are in my harddisk, will upload it later.

Another beautiful day of spring,I'ma off to jog with the star in the making within a couple of minutes and play ping pong afterwards, hope u folk enjoy these photos.catch ya later.

Facebook'ing' and the whole night in torment

It happened to be ironically my best and worst endeavors in facebook so far.A site which I couldn't help myself but to forgive the complexity in simplicity, whichever comes first.

I spent most of my time that night reminiscing the year through the pictures uploaded by the others on their facebook sites, and I stumbled upon one single picture of which snapped me back to reality,to the actual time. The then future is now,
I have to make myself ready.Few changes have taken place, circle of life, closest buddies, friends, they have all moved on,and dammit I'm still here.Certainly,to get back to the past is far from possible,we move forwards.

Lols,I
kept telling myself that when one door closed, another opens.Hey!move on.Wake up.It's not always bed of roses to everyone, lol ,and some other thrash.

And yet again,I'v come back to the conclusion that we all want something we cant have.

Darn it,forget that crappy little conclusion,
for what it worth I will treasure this life, expand my horizon but whatever it is,just keep it real.

Easter Break and Flat Broke

Spring time,a season of rebirth and new beginnings.this what I'v been discussing with a friend of mine lives upper-west side of German.and really it is time to change,of which our ancestors had coined a nicer version: " turn over a new leaf".learn new things,ie: uh skateboarding, anyone?.

Easter comes again,an awaited 1st quarter-term break. The el perfecto time for those to enjoy the warmth and serenity of the all time captivating Paris.I had just let the golden opp go,down the drain, circumstances I couldnt avoid but handled wisely I guess.p/s: Bonjour! njoy ur time there, faris and comrades.sun-bathing in Monaco at best time of the year, what not.but hell this' not my thing,I'm already perfect-tan.LOLs.

Needlessly obfuscated as ever, but I did send the message across ait,I'm broke.my traveling fund is drained

Seconds turn into days.what would anyone do when the cash is limited to the point which an ice cream seems a luxury(exaggerating),with internet down, but plenty... of time.answer:doing things which costs not-a-damn-thing.stay in ur home residing area, walk the evening, improve the agility to cover a larger radius, day to day till holiday is over, sit back on ur couch(only if u hav one) and observe ur neighbourhood.now that might sound cheezy in the best way but who knows u might find anything that chills ur days.I did,and I'm contented.read stuff u hardly had a glimpse during ur day-of-glory.

trust me folks, it was relaxing than ever to have had ice creams in park, chilled with friends while the locals' sunbathing, mesmerizing the summer breeze, enjoyed each and every second of spring, the fact that I dont yet hav sunglasses is forgiven, just enjoy the moment.listening to the birds sing their award winning rhythm, chirped at times.Oh,another beautiful day of spring.

footnote:forget not to take ur cam along.

Crawling out of Sheer Boredom

figure 1:Winter has closed it's door,it starts to bloom-spring-,Combudunum Park,Kempten.

It is not precisely a bad habit to waste times on the nets,,'Google' ing unnecessary stuff ,I'd say it's a better way to enhance our ability to handle life of the future us.this is what they say "everything is in ur hand".but I always thought I could live life without internet,LOLs,but when the time comes,I'm sort of lost, well that might be the lamest metaphor, but this' for real.Question is what would I do without internet?and over the past few days,I'done few things to keep me occupied just so I wouldnt feel lost.

1.I bought bundle of great books to keep me busy, and not to mention the positive benefits that came along.(mags actually)

figure 2:
Mags and the tradition of not being able to finish reading until the next issue's on the shelves

2. went to parks, went jogging.strengthened the already robust and cool muscle which I possessed.

3. took great pictures,,haha aint true, not great but so-so ( figure 1).but i'd prefer to say I'm certain of expanding my horizons in photography, nah that gives me hope.

4.took liberty to tame the swans in the park.but kimi sticks firmly still to what he did hilariously mention when I showed him this pix, "make friends with the swan".

figure 3: the timely tame couple

there you go folk until the second successful attempt to access free internet services.

Snow unexpected across area : Kempten,Bayern

figure 1: my backyard; the day after minus 12 degrees froze
the entire town

There was a time in my life when I fancy snow, which would amaze me every single moment I give a thought about it.duh,,now that I've gone through the season,it's time for me to reconcile the passing fancy of mine.not really, btw i still like snow, winter in particular;it's just when the season goes apparently longer than usual,it's bit uncomfortable, unwelcoming sort of feeling wrapped up the days.you are frozen. You cant go out that frequent, and when you do want, the least are 4layers of clothes.Physical activities are limited,no wonder polar bears hibernate that long.
it feels like an appalling torture to imagine -12 degrees Celsius in Kempten.

But today the snow has slowly diminished from sight.can see an old man lives in the apartment behind mine taking the time of his life relaxing in his balcony' couch ;open air for a record. personally,i hope that winter has come to an end for real.i really do. and the massive snow wouldn't scare away the darling buds of 'April'.Oh,I just cant wait for the spring.

disaster strikes a person lives next door

Breaking NEWS-at lunch break today,I went home just to be told there's complaint from John Doe lives next door. The janitor said he/she's complaining upon the noise believed to be leaking from my sanctuary.

I went inside my room,my gaze upon my coolest ever HARMAN KARDON SOUNDSTICKS ll (image above),my heart broke:

1.the speakers stirred my soul, the sound produced just amazing, crisp, clear :which’s hard to express in words really.it's electrifying .incomparable to what offers in the market. It's just an engineering's masterpiece.
2.I'v waited part of my life to have this,I drained my acc savings, just to have some serenity at my own home after a bad/tiring day.

now that I cant no longer turn the volume up.it's like the end of the world.it is though,my life's partially doomed.it's like you buy a ferrari 612 Scaglieti but allowed to drive at a speed of kapchai.shamely awful.

Then, this weird crystalising moment stroke my thought:much the same to scrubs(tv series)
Maybe I should knock his/her door and tell em' dgn cool dan macho
"It's not my problem that you cant distinguish between engineering's masterpiece and noise"

LOLs.but alas.ape yg boleh di buat.sob3.what a day.All good thing must come to an end (^_^')

It has been another 'awhile'

I can no longer afford to apologize for yet another long break with no update.darn it
a new day has come,a new beginning has just begun,a new semester has started, and today being the 9th day.It seems to work just right until now.

I have for long expect changes in me and my typical hope as always is to be a better person than I was in the last sem.I'm done self-sabotiging.Everything was a far cry.Updating blog has top the list but still hope remains. The immentsity of 'things-to-do" left me in state of utter bewilderment.Which's which? What's what?.Thing is,I'v to get maself into the things I'm gona do intsead of waiting (konon2 for the right time).Speaking of which,I went thru the technically exact situation when I go ice-skating last saturday.

Figure 1:
Eis-Stadion Kempten, game took place on my first visit(this was then after we finished bowling next building :witnessed Jon Doel big lost to Marshall)

I was extremly worried the moment I step into the ice, with the skate shoes on.10 minutes of waiting failed to provide me any sense of courage.fear still,I dictated my first move.Terkial2 -only God knows how.Observing the others,I tried maself and then a kind hearted grandma which I found stupendously good at it told me few tips which in turn work for a beginner like me. To my friggin surprise, she skates like an angle.WOoo at that age!Unbelievable.Amazing.Back to the point, for this reason,I'ma start doing what I 'm gona do,get maself in and do it,even the effort is that small. It does make a slight change.
